Abigail is a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star who specializes in criminal defense and appellate work. She ensures her clients are zealously represented and handles all types of cases across Pennsylvania. In addition, Abigail does pro bono work with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and Philadelphia VIP.
Abigail holds an LLM in Trial Advocacy from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and a JD, with a specialty in Criminal Litigation, from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University. During her time in law school, Abigail interned for the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office and served as a Legal Skills Mentor at the university.
Abigail began her legal career as Michael van der Veen’s law clerk at van der Veen, Hartshorn, Levin & Lindheim. After passing the bar, Abigail transitioned into the role of Associate Attorney.
Her passion for advocacy in criminal law extends back into her undergraduate career. Abigail graduated from the University of Florida with a Major In Criminology and Minors in Communications and Anthropology. She earned the Dean’s Medal of Excellence upon graduating.
During law school, Abigail worked at firms specializing in personal injury, family law, and civil rights. At Duquesne, she was a member of the Jewish Law Society, the Women’s Law Society, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and she served as Treasurer of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society.
When not in the courtroom, Abigail enjoys spending time watching sports with her husband and their 8-year-old Chow Chow, Stanley.
